Tagging
Tagging is a Smartresponsor canonical tagging component library within the Smartresponsor ecosystem.
It should be understood not as a simple tags CRUD helper, but as a governed tagging runtime for canonical tag creation, assignment, search, suggest, status exposure, surface discovery, and stable API handling across object types.
What It Is
Tagging exists to provide a structured internal tagging capability that can support tag CRUD, attach and detach flows, assignment by entity, search and suggest, stable HTTP contracts, runtime surface discovery, and governed canonical delivery.
In ecosystem terms, it belongs to the class of components that strengthen classification, tagging consistency, and operational tagging discipline.
Current Reading
In its current state, Tagging already reads as a serious pre-RC component.
Its strongest visible qualities are:
-
clear canonical tagging product identity,
-
strong runtime-contract and publish-gate posture,
-
governed host-minimal source-of-truth discipline,
-
and a governance-oriented engineering posture around canonical runtime and release hygiene.
Why It Matters
Tagging systems become fragile when CRUD, assignment, search, suggest, runtime contracts, demo assets, and delivery support are treated as separate ad hoc concerns.
Tagging matters because it treats those concerns as part of one governed component surface rather than as scattered utility logic.
That makes it strategically more valuable than a simple tags table or a thin tagging helper.
Current Report
For the current maturity portrait, RC scorecard, and leader-line positioning, see the narrative report:
Position in the Ecosystem
Tagging currently stands as one of the stronger classification-and-runtime contract oriented components in the Smartresponsor ecosystem.
It is best read as a component moving toward enterprise-class tagging and taxonomy-runtime maturity through structure, verification, and long-term maintainability.
